Regulating AI in India, of Outcomes and Processes.

The piece is a critical commentary on India’s adoption of a risk-based framework for the governance of artificial intelligence. It covers the outcomes of adopting a risk-based approach such as endemic regulatory loss and possible crisis. It also attempts to throw some light on the processes set up to enforce regulations (self-regulation aided by standards and guidelines) and the concerns it raises regarding the displacement of the democratic process.
