Dr. Vanya Vaidehi Bhargava
Dr Vanya Vaidehi Bhargava is a historian of Indian political thought and is a Senior Research Fellow, Humanities Centre for Advanced Studies, Leipzig University. Her doctoral research at Oxford was on the political thought of Lala Lajpat Rai and she is currently working on a research project that uncovers the multiple languages of secularism that emerged in India before independence. Her most recent publication in Studies in Indian Politics is on Lala Lajpat Rai's ideas of caste.
