Shaunna Rodrigues is a Ph.D. Candidate in the Department of Middle Eastern, South Asian and African Studies at Columbia University. She also holds an M.A. and M.Phil. in Political Studies from Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi. She is currently writing her Ph.D. dissertation which studies Islamic justifications of constitutionalism in India to understand and critique how a right to justification for minority imaginaries of the political is constructed, defended, attacked and reforged in deeply diverse polities. Shaunna is the ‘South Asia’ Editor at Borderlines.
