The U.S. Consulate General and Loyola College in Chennai jointly present “A Comparative U.S. – India Constitutional Law Debate,” an initiative that will deliberate on contemporary issues in the context of U.S. and Indian Constitutional laws. The debate project aims to improve the critical thinking abilities of students and foster a respect for the constitutional values of the United States and India. The intention of the program is to increase the students’ awareness about citizens’ rights to life, freedom, property, and expression in society through discussions on contemporary issues in the context of the U.S. and Indian Constitutions.
