The Law, Governance & Development Research Initiative of Azim Premji University is looking to recruit interested and committed young graduates and post graduates for the positions of Graduate and Faculty Fellows at Azim Premji University.

Azim Premji University, Bangalore is a university with a clear social purpose and has an explicit commitment to the idea that knowledge and learning have human and social consequences and that their pursuit cannot be separated from these consequences. The Law, Governance & Development Initiative (LGDI) at the University is a research initiative which engages with the field of law and development and recognizes that the origin, structure and pathologies of government and the legal system in India are at the core of the problems of governance and development. Hence, the Initiative seeks to create new knowledge and restore the study of the structure and practices of government and the constitutive and instrumental role of the legal system to the core of our enquiry into the problems of development and governance.


Eligibility: Recent graduates, post graduates or those enrolled in a doctoral program in social sciences especially in law, politics and political science, economics and public policy.
Period of fellowship: Two years
Scope of Work : Graduate and Faculty fellows will be engaged in collaborative academic and policy research, and field based research with the initiative and will assist in the delivery of the academic program at Azim Premji University.
