For many years, Israel has been criticised by the UN Human Rights Council, Amnesty International and many national governments for its policies towards the West Bank and Gaza.

A group of Indian journalists who recently visited Israel were told, at least somewhat to their surprise, that India’s handling of the Kashmir unrest has been no better, if not worse. K.P.
